Key Westers use the term, "conch" to describe the status of people who live on and visit the island.  Those few people who were born in Key West are the only people who can call themselves "Conchs."  But, those of us who live like Key Westers can call ourselves CONCHHEADS.  CONCHHEADS are explorers who are:

Resilient, creative, and not always behaved

With a sense of higher purpose and a penchant for risk

A conchhead's adventures are amazingly brisk."
